Vienna City Marathon 2013/Austria – Decision Time: Only 500 Marathon Places left at Bargain Value!
Big Demand for the 30th Anniversary edition: more than 15,000 entries already for the Vienna City Marathon 2013
Interest in the Vienna City Marathon is unprecedented. More than 15,000 runners have already entered the 30th edition of Austria’s biggest sports event.
Only 500 marathon places before entry fee rises
There are only 500 places left for the classic marathon distance of 42.195 kilometres in the mid-entry fee category of 77 Euro. “We think that this contingent will be sold out next week”, says Gerhard Wehr, technical director of the Vienna City Marathon. After that the cost of remaining participation rises to 98 Euro. Since an unexpectedly large number of applications have been made in recent months, we’re highlighting this difference in entry fee to all interested marathon runners.
Marathon places are getting scarce
One reason for the big demand is the fact that the 30th anniversary edition of the Vienna City Marathon is proving a big attraction. Another is the international trend which is also making itself felt in Vienna, where people are entering marathons at big events increasingly early. Now that most of the autumn marathons are over, many runners are deciding about their next spring marathon.
Places for the marathon at the VCM could be sold out before the end of the year for the first time ever! Anyone who wants to be on the “Finishers’ List” for the 30th Anniversary VCM should make sure of getting their place on time!
