Limit 10 Mile Dam tot Damloop reached – Charity teams offer last chance for participation –

Today the Dam tot Damloop has reached its limit for the 10 Mile within 1.5 hours. It is the fourth consecutive year that all bib numbers for the main distance are sold out within half a day.

It proves once again how popular the biggest running event of the Netherlands is. Entry for the 4 Mile (6.4 km), the Run2Day Ladies Damloop (4 Mile) and the Mini Dam to Damlopen is still possible. The 29th Dam tot Damloop takes place on Sunday 22 September. The event has a maximum limit of 55.000 participants.

To manage the overwhelming demand for bib numbers, organizer Le Champion used a virtual waiting line for individual entries. This ensured that the visitors of the website were able to gradually enter for the race. The start of the registration ran smoothly thanks to the queuing system.

Runners who still want to participate in the 10 Mile, can join one the charity teams. It means you have to find people that want to sponsor you for charity. Running in a charity team offers the same extras as participating in the Dam tot Dam Business Run like a privileged starting position.

The participating charities can be found at www.damloop.nl. You have to approach the charity yourself. Last year the Dam tot Dam Charity Project collected € 979,400.- in total.
