Berlin runners grieve with Boston – „Boston stands as one“ – Saturday at 10 am at the Siegessäule (Victory Column) – Wear a black armband.

By GRR 0

On Saturday, we would like to join in solidarity with all of the runners in Berlin, making a 5 km loop through Tiergarten Park with our thoughts being with the victims of the attack at the Boston Marathon.

We will be wearing black armbands.

"Boston stands as one" is the official answer to the violence by the Boston Marathon. Come join us in great numbers to show our support.

There can only be one answer to this violence:

Now more than ever – go run!

Those who have participated in the Boston Marathon as asked to bring along your memorabilia, your jackets, shirts, or flag.

The Berlin Sports Museum will be providing the official banner from the Boston Marathon from their collection.

See you Saturday at 10 am at the Siegessäule (Victory Column).

We are hoping to have numerous prominent figures as well. We will be welcoming you at 10 am, and the run of mourning at around 10:30 am on the Telekom route in Tiergarten Park.

There will be a tent set up to store your running gear.
