Time Measurement
The time measurement is done with the ChronoTrack-System (www.ChronoTrack.com) from chronotiming (www.chronotiming.com).
The system uses single-use transpondes inside the starting-number. The transponder can not be reused after the contest. Each athlete has to wear the starting-number, a transponder at the shoe is no longer needed. There is no return fee for the transponder and it can be disposed after the contest.
Changing and showers
– Please note the signs on-site.
Refreshments:
– Water every 2.5 km
– Isotonic drinks, bananas, sponge service every 5 km
Massages and safe-keeping of clothing at "Sälzerhalle". Medical care is provided on the track and in the start/finish area.

Travelling and parking
Travelling by car
Salzkotten is on the route (B1) between Paderborn and Soest. From the autobahn A33 exit Salzkotten/B1 or from the autobahn A44 exit Geseke/B1.
Parking facilities are signposted and available at the open air bath "Sälzer Lagune" and the "Sälzerhalle".

Payments
Participants with a German bank account pay conveniently by a once only direct debit authorisation, foreign participants by bank transfer.
Registrations without concurrent payment will not be considered. Bank transfers are only possible, if the bank voucher is enclosed.
Charges caused by false payment instructions are for the participants account. A registered participant who fails to participate due to any reasons has no right of refund.
Exclusion of liability
The participation in the event is at the participant‘s own risk.
The organizer disclaims any liability for damage to persons or property of any kind. This also includes accidental bodily injury, theft and loss of property. The participants expressly accept the organizer‘s exclusion of liability.

All Marathon, Halfmarathon and 10 km contestants start together at 9:00 am. Start and finish line are located at the townhall in Salzkotten. Latest arrival at the finish line at 3:00 pm.

You can register late only in person on June 1st and 2nd 2013 at "Sälzerhalle". There is a late registration fee of 4,00 €, changes to the registration can be done at a fee of 3,00 €.
Participation
You can participate at the contests only if you are 18 years or older. You can participate at the Half-Marathon if you are 16 years or older.
Overtake your competitors at the UNITY-Relay Marathon!
At the relay marathon for companys, four competitor share the complete distance of 42,195 km. The relay marathon boosts teamspirit, colleagueship as well as company tie. Private and other teams are welcome as well!

Switching Area
The switching area at 10 km, 21 km and 32 km is located in front of the town hall in Salzkotten, please pay attention to signs on site. The participants 2 to 4 have to register at the switsching area and are positioned regarding their starting number. Pleas pay attention to the volunteers.
Awards
The winning team will receive a challenge cup. The second and third winning team will receive a non-cash-prize. Additionally, every participant will receive a medal and the three fastest teams will receive a certificate. Everyone else can download the certificate online. An award ceremony for the three fastest teams is done in front of the town hall.
Time measurement:
Each team menber gets his own starting number with integrated transponder. Individual times for each team member are recorded.
Each Team wears a shash that has to be given to the next team member in the swithing area.

Your can participate at the 10 km competion if you are 10 years or older (born in 2003).
"Sälzer- Zehntel" is a competition over a tenth of a marathon (4,2195 km) for the young and marathon beginners. The perfect opportunity to get a first impression of a real marathon!

Awards/Award Ceremony (except UNITY-Relay Marathon)
All participants get a Medal which is produced uniquely for this event. All participants can download an award certificate after the event at www.salzkotten-marathon.de. An award ceremony is hold after each competition for the places 1-3. The winner get a trophy. There is no award ceremony for the winners of the age groups.
