35. ASICS Stockholm Marathon – Isabellah’s fifth victory – 15,680 runners finished ASICS Stockholm Marathon

Isabellah Andersson coped with the conditions and secured her 5th victory. She had won four consecutive titles, 2008-11 and this time the Kenyan-born Swede won in 2.33.49.
Her winning margin of eight minutes is the largest since 1988 when Grete Waitz established the course record.
Shumi Gerbaba repeated his victory from 2011. The Ethiopian left his opponents behind after 25 kilometres and cruised to a one-and-a-half-minute victory, in 2.16.13.
Former Olympic finalist in the steeplechase Mustafa Mohamed, finished fourth and won the Swedish Championships.
