The IAAF editorial team would like to extend their best wishes to IAAF President Lamine Diack, who is celebrating his 80th birthday today (Friday 7) in the presence of family and friends in his native city of Dakar.
Lamine Diack has been involved in the sport since his days as a long jumper in the late 1950s and continues to play a very active role as the head of the IAAF, most recently undertaking an extensive trip to Oceania and the Far East to cement the IAAF’s activities and presence in these areas.
