Athletics Australia – News – Australia dominant at Oceania Championships
Competition has concluded at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Papeete, French Polynesia, with Team Australia delivering a dominant performance to feature heavily on the medal table.
Battling it out with more than 300 athletes from across the Oceania region of the IAAF for three days of competition commencing 3 June through until yesterday, the Australian team of 43 featured both athletes aged under 18 and open.
Leading the Australian charge was Luisa Sekona in the girl's under 18 shot put, with her performance of 15.10m a new Championship record.
