LAVILLENIE CONFIRMED FOR BRUSSELS – IAAF DIAMOND LEAGUE

By GRR 0

Renaud Lavillenie, the current world leader in the Pole Vault, has confirmed his participation at the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme in Brussels, the final meeting of the 2013 IAAF Diamond League.

The 26-year-old from France is the only athlete in the world this year to have broken six metres.

On 6 Septemer spectators at the King Baudouin stadium in the Belgian capital will have the privilege to watch the Olympic Pole Vault champion – and maybe by then also the World champion – jump.

Owner of the best six vaults in the world this year, Lavillenie is highly favoured to win the gold medal at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow that are due to start on 10 August.
