Indian Athletics – News – 2nd South Asian Junior Athletics Championships – Ranchi gearing up for the big event
Ranchi, India – 8 November 2013 – Indian athletes were the first ones to arrive at the village (Khel Gaon) as the hosts working round the clock to place things in order for the forthcoming 2ndSouth Asian Junior Athletics Championships at Birsa Munda Sports Complex here.
For the first time all the eight SAARC nations confirmed their participation in the above championships.
Sri Lanka, which organised the inaugural edition of the meet at Colombo in 2007, fields a 40-stong team in Ranchi and is expected to give stiff competition to the hosts India.
