Course: The course is along the Berlin Wall trail and is mostly paved and predominately flat. The organizers will ensure the course is clearly and safely marked. All participants in relay and individual (TN) will receive a Roadbook at check-in clearly outlining the details of the course.
Parts of the course run along public roads that are open to through traffic. Regulations regarding traffic safety in Germany must be strictly adhered to and failure of any TN to comply with the rules will result in immediate disqualification
Control Points: All Aid Stations (VP) serve as control points.
Interim Times: In between times will be gathered electronically at 13 control stations and posted online without delay.
Catering: Aid stations (VP) will be available approximately every 5 – 7km. Runner friendly food and drinks will be offered. Depending on the weather conditions, water stations will also be available
Necessary Equipment: From all aid stations, all participants must carry a functioning mobile phone and min of 0.5 liters of liquid (water or similar). During times of darkness (9:00 PM – 05:00 AM) a head lamp and reflective safety vest (orange or yellow) is mandatory.
Participation Limit: The limit for individual runners is 500 while the relay is currently limited to 25.

Medical Certification: All participants (Individual Runners) must provide a copy of their medical certification (not older than 12 months) to organizers no later than check-in to pick up race materials. The doctor’s certificate must attest that the participant is well within good health limits to run the distance of 100 miles.
The medical warnings set by the organizers on their website must be observed.
Medical Services: Provided by the organizers
Registration Open: Midnight 13 August, 2013.
Registration Deadline: Unless the limit has been reached, the closing date for registration is 1 July 2014. This includes support for runners.
Disqualification: At the discretion of the race director, a participant may be disqualified for: unreasonable or
unsportsmanlike conduct, cutting the course to gain advantage, use of transport, altering race number, disobeying traffic laws (ie. going against red light, crossing railroad barricades).
For the safety of all, the use of headphones is strictly prohibited within the city. Also we adhere strictly to environmental regulations. So it goes without saying that drinking cups and other trash is not allowed on the course. Participants may use the containers provided at every aid station (VP) to discard these items.
Supporters: A supervisor on a bicycle is only allowed so long as they do not obstruct other runners or hinder traffic in any way.
Registration Fee: Individual runners – 189 euros
The registration fee includes the cost for the entire race organization (ie. organizer’s preparation, permissions, timing equipment, medical services, course marking), pasta party evening before start (15 Aug 2014), course catering, farewell dinner (17 Aug 2014 from 11:00 AM), and a finisher shirt, medal and certificate and possibly a buckle.
Support – 30 euros – The fee for supervisors (coaches, trainers, support staff etc.) includes participation in the pasta party on the evening before (15 Aug 2014), course catering and farewell dinner (17 Aug 2014 from 11:00 AM).
Relay (two runners) – 219 euros
The registration fee includes the cost for the entire race organization (ie. organizer’s preparation, permissions, timing equipment, medical services, course marking), pasta party evening before start (15 Aug 2014), course catering, farewell dinner (17 Aug 2014 from 11:00 AM), and a finisher shirt, medal and certificate.
Relay (four runners) – 249 euros
The registration fee includes the cost for the entire race organization (ie. organizer’s preparation, permissions, timing equipment, medical services, course marking), pasta party evening before start (15 Aug 2014), course catering, farewell dinner (17 Aug 2014 from 11:00 AM), and a finisher shirt, medal and certificate.
Relay (10+ runners) – 69 euros plus 30 euros per relay runner
The registration fee includes the cost for the entire race organization (ie. organizer’s preparation, permissions, timing equipment, medical services, course marking), and course catering. The individual fee per runner includes the pasta party the evening before start (15 Aug 2014), farewell dinner (17 Aug 2014 from 11:00 AM), and a medal and certificate.
Reimbursement of Fee: To cancel registration, a letter must be submitted in writing to the organizers.
The reimbursements of the fees will follow these guidelines: Cancellation before 1 February 2014 –
reimbursement of 75% of the registration fee
Cancellation before 1 March 2014 – reimbursement of 60% of the registration fee
Cancellation before 1 May 2014 – reimbursement of 40% of the registration fee
Cancellation after 1 May 2014 – no reimbursement is possible
All participants have the opportunity to find a replacement runner until 1 July 2014. However the replacement runner must be familiar with the terms and conditions of this invitation.
Time Recording: Timing chips for all times including interim times will be provided by the firm: SPORTident. A personal timing chip is not required.
Approx. Km 40: Cut – off after 6:00 hours running time
Approx. Km 80: Cut – off after 14:00 hours running time
Approx. Km 120: Cut – off after 22 hours running time
Participants who do not attain these times by the control point must end the race and their times will not be recorded.
Pick-up of Race Materials:
Friday, 15 Aug 2014 from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM
Briefing: Friday, 15 Aug 2014, 7:30 PM
The competition “Briefing” is mandatory for all participants (TN).
Awards Ceremony: Sunday, 17 Aug 2014, 2:00 PM
All finishers will receive a certificate, a medal, and the individual and relay (2 and 4 person) also a finisher shirt. All participants who finish within 24 hours will receive a representative buckle for their achievement.
Those runners who finished within the time limit both at the 2013 and 2014 event will be eligible to receive a Back – to – Back medal.
Waiver of Liability: Participants run this race at their own risk.
The organizers of the 100MeilenBerlin assume no liability for damages to personal property of any kind. The athlete and supervisors (trainers, coaches, and support staff) relieve the organizers from any liability in the e
vent of weakness, accidents, ill health and death. All athletes will be required to sign an indemnification form at registration that waives the liability of the organizers. Starting the race without a signature on this form is not possible. Also, it is required that all support staff also sign this form before the start.

During the event, phot- and video recordings may be taken of the participants.
