I find this time of year very 'transitional." Christmas seems long gone, the Australian Tennis Open has finished, we're now into the last month of summer, it's also about time to take work more seriously….. where did it all go so quickly?

Sundown Marathon – Run the Night

A great idea in an amazing city. Run in the cool of the night and enjoy the celebration in the city that can do anything and does!

In a short time the Sundown Marathon has grown to attract 30,000 runners and provides a number of options with the marathon, half and 10km.

Grab Your Donkey and Dosey Doe

No, you don't really have to hit the dance floor with your favourite four legged friend but you can run a half marathon together! It even involves a 'weigh in' but thankfully only for the saddles.

The Pack Burro Race is part of the Leadville Boom Days Celebration and is heralded as the Official Summer Sport of Colorado.
You bring your donkey along, weigh him in, then off you go on your 'team' half marathon. The winning time from 2013 was 3:41:30 and the entrants have dynamic names such as Kokomo, Boogie, Crazy Horse and Titus. 
And hey, if you want to go visit, we'll get you there! Not sure about the donkey though.
