Remember, places are limited!
Places in the events are limited as follows: Over 8,000 runners have already signed up to take part. Places are expected to sell out before the closing date for entries on 28 September. If they do, it will be the first time in history that this has happened. So if you don't want to miss the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, be sure to register early to avoid disappointment.

Vondelpark celebrates its anniversary
This year is the 150th anniversary of the creation of the Vondelpark. A festival will be held on 14 June to mark the occasion. In response to an initiative launched by Christiaan Pieter van Eeghen, in 1864 a group of prominent citizens in Amsterdam decided that there should be a place where less-well-to-do citizens could take in the air in leafy surroundings. The park opened a year later. The marathon passes through the park twice. The Mizuno Half Marathon and TCS 8 K events both pass through the park once. |
Champion runner: Frederic van den Heede
Frederic van den Heede, a Paralympic athlete from Belgium who won a bronze medal in the T46 Men's marathon (hand amputation) in the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, will also be lining up at the start line on Sunday 19 October.
He is one of the best in the world. In London he completed the marathon in 2 hours, 31 minutes and 38 seconds. He hopes to run the Amsterdam marathon in less than 2.30 hours.
We wish him all the best as he prepares for the event!
