In the wake of the announcement that world record-holder Ashton Eaton and two-time world champion Trey Hardee will duel at the famous Hypo-Meeting in the Austrian town of Gotzis, the organisers have announced that the cream of Germany’s multi-event exponents will also be on display at the IAAF Combined Events Challenge meeting on 30-31 May.

Taking on the American pair in the decathlon will be the 2013 IAAF World Championships silver medallist Michael Schrader (personal best: 8670 points) , Arthur Abele (8477 points), Kai Kazmirek (8471 points), Rico Freimuth (8382 points) and Matthias Prey (8215 points).

In the heptathlon, Germany will be represented by London 2012 Olympic Games silver medallist Lilli Schwarzkopf (personal best: 6649 points), Claudia Rath (6462 points), former world and European junior champion Carolin Schafer (6395 points), Kira Biesenbach (6185 points) and Cindy Roleder (5728 points).
