2016 is the year the two event go back to back and this is your opportunity to take part in these two exceptional marathons. We are offering runners the opportunity to experience two interesting and vastly different countries and cultures in the one trip. Surely the only thing better than running one marathon in Asia is running two!

We have a number of options for this trip, with a Monday departure following the Great Wall Marathon. Stay in Bangkok on the way to Bhutan and travel with a group of like minded adventure runners.

Berlin Marathon is undoubtedly the fastest marathon course in the world, with 10 World Records having been set on the course, six of them in the past 13 years. Let's take a look at some of the highlights:

• Paul Tergat started the avalanche of records in 2003, running 2:04:55
• the great Haile Gebrselassion took 29 seconds off the record in 2007, running 2:04:26
• a year later Haile returned to be the first runner under 2:04 with his 2:03:59
• in 2011 Patrick Makau ran 2:03:38
• 2013 saw Wilson Kipsang run 2:03:23
• and in 2014 Dennis Kimetto ran a blistering 2:02:57 to become the first runner to record a sub 2:03 marathon

In the light of the economic challenges facing the country and its people, the Hellenic Athletics Federation (SEGAS) has decided to forego the elite filed in the marathon and concentrate on a race for mass runners, including the 5km and 10km, which complete the day's program. A record number of more than 16,000 runners are expected to take part in the marathon. With this gesture, the organisers invite runners from around the world to run the Athens Marathon in solidarity with the Greek people at this testing time.
