Weltklasse Zürich 2015 – Kariem Hussein rules Zurich – 16 new Diamond Trophy winners crowned
The Swiss raced to the win over the hurdles in 49.16 seconds, making the crowd in a sold out stadium jump off their seats and and giving the fans a goose bumps-feeling just like a year ago at the European Championships.
16 new Diamond Trophy winners were crowned, led by sprint-queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. The Jamaican first won her 100 meter heat in 10.93 seconds before winning the Relay in 41,60 seconds with her team mates in a new meeting- and Diamond League record.
Almaz Alyana accounted for the second meeting record of the evening. The world champion won the 3000 meter race which included 2 other gold medalists from Beijing in 8:22.34 minutes.
Yet another highlight was provided by long jumper Ivana Spanovic who beat the Serbian record by a centimeter which now stands at 7.02 meters.
