WICHITA, Kan. – December 22, 2016 – With the 2016 Running USA Industry Conference set to take place February 10-12, finishing the day before the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon, much of the focus at this year’s event will undoubtedly revolve around the Olympic Trials, the athletes hoping to make Team USA and the incredible festivities that showcase the sport to the world once every four years.

With so much Olympic-level excitement, Running USA is proud to announce three-time Olympian Devon Harris as our keynote for the Running USA Industry Conference. Harris, who hails from Jamaica and qualified for the Winter Olympics in the bobsled, offers a truly inspiring story, one that was told in the Disney movie Cool Runnings.

“We’re extremely excited to have Devon Harris keynote this year’s event,” said Christine Bowen, Running USA Director of Programming, Education and Activation. “His accomplishments as an athlete and human being are remarkable and his message is a perfect fit for this year’s conference.”

At the heart of Harris’ message are the lessons he has learned of the power of persistence over a variety of obstacles in order to live one's best life. His mission is to bring this message to Running USA attendees and how everyone can keep striving and working for their dreams every day of their professional, as well as personal, lives.
