Schippers to run 100m in Brussels – IAAF Diamond League

Flying Dutchwoman Dafne Schippers will compete over 100m at the IAAF Diamond League final in Brussels on Friday 9 September, the meeting organisers announced on Monday (8).

Schippers is the current Diamond Race leader in the event and also defended her European 100m title last month, as well as taking the 100m silver medal at the IAAF World Championships Beijing 2015.

In 2015, Schippers took a memorable victory in the 200m at the same meeting, winning in 22.12 two weeks after taking the world title in the longer sprint.

The meeting in the Belgian capital, the AG Insurance Memorial Van Damme, will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year.
