NEW YORK CITY — Ajee’ Wilson, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor 800m silver medalist, improved on her #2 U.S. all-time mark in the 600m for the second time in 2017, running 1:24.48 at the Armory Track Invitational.

Wilson (Neptune, New Jersey) is now ranked fourth all-time in the world. In addition, high schooler Sammy Watson broke her own U.S. high school record in the event, finishing in 1:27.13 on Saturday.

Paul Chelimo breaks yet another record in indoor season, wins 3000m at Camel City Elite

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina — 2016 Olympic silver medalist in the men’s 5000m Paul Chelimo (Portland, Oregon) continued his indoor season dominance by setting a facility record of 7:45.49 in the men’s 3000m at Camel City Elite. Chelimo is currently the world indoor leader at that distance.

Christian Coleman runs collegiate best in 60m at Doc Hale Elite Meet

BLACKSBURG, Virginia — Twenty-year-old Christian Coleman (Atlanta, Georgia) ran a 2017 collegiate best of 6.51 in the men’s 60m on the first day of Doc Hale Elite Meet. The Tennessee junior set a facility record and earned men’s MVP honors.

Coleman, who ran for Team USA in the men’s 4x100m relay qualifying round at the 2016 Rio Olympics, continues to stay on track toward defending his 2016 SEC Indoor Championship title in the 60m. Earlier this season he clocked the world’s leading indoor 200m time at the Razorback Invitational.
