Denver, Colorado – July 6, 2017 – Motigo, the pioneer in delivering personalized audio to athletes during their activities and races, has been selected by the Denver Broncos and their 7K Series to continue and expand the partnership with its Broncos 7K Denver event at Sports Authority Field at Mile High on September 3.
Following last year’s event where nearly 15% all participants were propelled to the finish line thanks to fun and inspiring messages from the likes of Von Miller, Demaryius Thomas and Chris Harris among others, this year promises to further deepen the relationship between the team and runners as it seeks to promote a healthier lifestyle via its Fit Series.
The unique activation will be similar to last year, whereby instead of cheering on the pros on gameday, Denver-area runners can use the Motigo app to for on-course entertainment, automatically hearing messages from the players and staff. This year the team aims to add in more Broncos themed fun facts along the course, and will also rely on the app to offer its runners some special training run experiences later in summer.
Motigo’s free app and proprietary technology platform enables events and brands to thoughtfully weave their own themed content into an event, creating more immersive and more entertaining experiences. The Audio Tour makes race day a richer sensory experience for participants and team themed events are the perfect showcase as the app connects runners and fans with team, sport, and city themed messages recorded by the teams and players they so passionately cheer on.
Last year, the team also used the app to surprise runners on course with certain team swag, especially delighting a handful of selected runners autographed photos and even a helmet, leading to great post-race feedback and excitement. “We didn’t know what to expect in year 1, but they were strongly recommended by Lonnie Somers at Hal Sports, part of the group that helps us put on our event. After seeing how delighted so many of our runners were with something they had not experienced before, we were happy to bring Motigo back for 2017, and figure out how we can do even more together. It’s exciting for us to work with a local, Colorado startup whose technology really allows us to be more creative in deepening the relationship we’re able to have with our Broncos 7K participants ”, said Scott Lantis, Coordinator of Promotions & Special events for the Denver Broncos.
“We exist to make a difference, and believe part of our purpose as a company is to encourage everyone to live a healthier lifestyle. And since we know that it isn’t easy, and sometimes might not be fun, it’s incredibly cool that the Broncos organization and its players can use the Motigo technology to personally connect with their community of fans and runners – making for a one of a kind, memorable running experience, said founder and CEO, Dan Nagler.
Runners participating in the Broncos 7K Denver can download Motigo in the App Store and via Google Play. From there, they can select the event, choose their race distance, then use the social sharing tools to easily invite their friends and loved ones to cheer them on – by using the apps, or with the record cheer option on the Motigo website.
