One day to go until the Golden Tracks – European Athletics – News

 The Golden Tracks award ceremony takes place in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius tomorrow evening when the male and female Rising Stars and European Athletes of the Year will be announced and presented with their awards. 

The annual ceremony begins at 9.00pm local time (CET+1) and you can watch the Golden Tracks live on the European Athletics website, European Athletics Facebook page and on the European Athletics YouTube page. 

Twelve months ago in Funchal, Olympic 5000m and 10,000m champion Mo Farah from Great Britain and Olympic and European high jump champion Ruth Beitia from Spain were crowned male and female European Athletes of the Year while European triple jump champion Max Hess from Germany and Olympic heptathlon champion Nafissatou Thiam from Belgium were named male and female Rising Stars.

We have taken a closer look at the short-listed candidates for each category this year and some of their season's highlights.

Female European Athlete of the Year nominees:
