The BERLIN MARATHON celebrates its 50th birthday today.

On Sunday, October 13, 1974, 80 runners lined up at Waldschulallee 80 at the chalk line in Berlin-Charlottenburg at 9:00 a.m. to start the “1st Berlin People’s Marathon.”

The 50th edition of the BMW BERLIN MARATHON attracted a record number of 58,212 runners from 161 nations.

No reason to complain, the race has made something of itself!

CONGRATULATIONS on today!
