Label Regulations 2025 inside + webinar Wed. September 4th, 1pm UK time – World Athletics

By GRR 0

Dear race directors, athletes’ representatives, Member Federations and athletics family:

Just a reminder of today’s World Athletics Road Race Webinar in case you’re interested. We start at 8am New York – 1pm London – 10pm Sydney

We can now share Regulations for next year’s Label Road Races programme (enclosed. French version here). We’ll illustrate the rationale for the changes and the mechanics of the programme (especially the application phase).

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2025? For the vast majority of races, not much. There is just one (substantial) change: we’re capping at 12 and 25, respectively, the number of Platinum and Gold Labels that can be awarded to marathons (no cap for single-sex marathons; nor for any other distances). If the number of Platinum/Gold applications received exceeds the quota, Platinum and Gold Labels will be assigned based on the criteria described in 2.2.3 and 2.3.3. Applications will open around 15 September, and will stay open for 3-4 weeks.

Important: 2024 races remain subject to 2024 Label Regulations.

Click here to register. You will automatically receive a calendar placeholder, and a reminder when the live is about to start.
