Udine, Italy – Kenyan road running star Samuel Wanjiru, who broke the World Half Marathon record in Rotterdam in 2005 (59.16), and who this year has made two quicker clockings which if ratified will improve Haile Gebrselassie’s World record of 58.85 (2006), has expressed his intention to run at the IAAF World Road Running Championships in Udine, Italy on 14 October, if of course he is selected by his nation.
