Two Silver Labels awarded by the IAAF for the Prague International Marathon

At the end of 2007, the IAAF Commission has awarded the prestigious Silver  and Gold Labels to a number of leading Road Races around the world.

"There are thousands of marathons around the world. To obtain the Silver Label for two races of just one organizer in one city is a huge international success," says Carlo Capalbo, Chairman of the Prague International Marathon Organizing Committee and continues: "For 2008, the Hervis Prague Half Marathon (March 29) and the Volkswagen Prague Marathon (May 11) are among the 40 Silver Labels awarded to marathons and half marathons worldwide."

The Labels are attributed to races that satisfy a number of important international criteria concerning the organizational standard of the race, safety, number of elite athletes engaged and other requirements.
