New start and finish line configuration. We have separated the start and finish lines on SW Naito by
8 blocks to eliminate the congestion. All events start at Naito and Pine and finish at Naito and Salmon

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

• Friends, neighbors and co-workers. Organize a team of 15 or more participants and save $5 per entry. Team members can do different events and different distances. Team registration is available only online or by mail.
• Great incentives for Team Captains. Each Team Captain receives a $25 gift card from Stanford's. Captains of teams with 30 or more participants also receive a FREE Shamrock hooded sweatshirt!

• No Field Limit for teams. Even if the field is full, all teams of 15 or more participants are guaranteed
  entry into the Shamrock Run as long as the entry deadline of Friday, February 25 is met.

• Free shipping of shirts and bib numbers. No need for Saturday pick-up. Shamrock T-shirts, bib numbers and timing chips (for runners) are shipped free of charge to the Team Captain during the week
  of March 1 for distribution to team members by the captain.

NEW WALK ROUTE FOR THE SHAMROCK STRIDE

Walkers will follow the 5k runners through downtown Portland. You've asked us to bring the Stride route into downtown and we have listened.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW FOR SHAMROCK IN 2011

• Saturday Pick-up moved to the Oregon Convention Center. No more traffic jams, and MAX and
  Tri-Met can get you right to the front door.

• New start and finish line configuration. We have separated the start and finish lines on SW Naito by
  8 blocks to eliminate the congestion. All events start at Naito and Pine and finish at Naito and Salmon.

• More room at Waterfront Park. The beer garden has been enlarged and moved south of the Morrison Bridge near the finish line, where we will also have a large stage with live music. Stanfords' signature smoked salmon chowder will be served free to all participants.

• Course improvements mean fewer turns. Click on the "Course Maps" tab on the web site to see the changes made within the first mile for all routes, and the adjustments to the 5k course after Mile 2 to avoid the Streetcar tracks on SW Harrison.
