The 26th Cardiff 10k takes place on September 11th 2011. The tried and tested event has become known as one of the UK's top Road Races as well as one of the most scenic. Taking part in the Cardiff based event is a great way of seeing Wales Capital City.

The Course starts and finishes in what is described as one of the most impressive Civic Centres in the World, passing the Welsh Office and quickly turning into picturesque parkland following the River Taff past a huge and imposing Castle dating back to the Romans in the first Century AD. The course also passes the Swalec Cricket Stadium and the Millenium Stadium which has hosted FA Cup Finals, Football League Finals as well as International Rugby and World leading Concerts.

The greatest spectacle, however, will be the race itself, previously won by some of the top distance runners from the UK and abroad including Patrick Makau who finished third in the 2011 Virgin London Marathon.

Organisers Kidney Wales along with Race Director Graham Finlayson and his team have increased the Race limit to 4,000 following increased interest in the last few years.

The flat and fast course almost garauntees a pb.
