Olomouc Running Festival – Volkswagen Olomouc Half Marathon – 18 June 2011 – Half Marathon Relay – Volkswagen 10 km Run – Allianz Family Run 2.5 km

The race itself brought quite a few records, including Pavel Novák setting a new Czech record for men with a time of 1:10:40 and Olomouc native Petra Kamínková setting a new Czech record for women with a time of 1:19:46. Congratulations to all the runners that took part in the Volkswagen 10km Run, Half Marathon Relay and Volkswagen Olomouc Half Marathon – after all, everyone that crossed the finishing line is a winner.

Allianz Family Run 2,5 km

As the live music and entertainment on Olomouc’s Horni Square built through the afternoon, the crowds of spectators began to gather, and by 5.00 pm, when the official running programme was due to start, the whole of central Olomouc was packed with supporters, despite the clouds hovering overhead. The first running event, the Allianz Family Run 2.5 km, saw about 1,000 runners taking part, an increase of 100% over last year. Congratulations to all runner that took part in the Allianz Family Run 2,5 km!
