To acknowledge contributions of researchers in sport for persons with a disability, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is calling for nominations for the 2011 Paralympic Scientific Award.
The main goals of the award are:
- to acknowledge and reward the work of researchers;
- to promote and encourage further study;
- to enhance the quality of work.
To be eligible, candidates must have contributed through significant scientific publications related to the critical aspects of sport for persons with a disability in any discipline, have received national and/or international recognition and awareness of their work, and place a specific emphasis on the practical application of research with direct or indirect benefit to the Paralympic Movement.
All nominations must be submitted in English by email to miguel.monge@paralympic.org or by fax to +49 228 209 72 09, not later than 10 May, 2011, 12:00 GMT.
