Coming up … AIMS races – the Kosice Peace Marathon (since 1924), The Colombo Marathon, the 23rd Plus Budapest Marathon, the Zagreb Marathon and Half, the Cologne Marathon, the Brussels Marathon and Baxter’s Loch Ness Marathon.

The Colombo Marathon in the Sri Lankan capital starts another crowded date on the AIMS calendar on 5 October. Europe's oldest Marathon, the Kosice Peace Marathon (since 1924) follows, along with the 23rd Plus Budapest Marathon, the Zagreb Marathon and Half, the Cologne Marathon, the Brussels Marathon and Baxter's Loch Ness Marathon.

Switching to North America the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon hosts the US Masters' Championships and the Portland Marathon takes place on the west coast. Still on the Pacific coast of the continent, but 45 degrees of latitude further south, the Guayaquil Marathon is run through the streets of the Ecuadorean port.
