Athletics Canada – News – Canada wins Gold at NACAC Cross Country & Canadian Results from Around the Track & Field

In Port-of-Spain, Trinidad on Saturday Canada took to Queens Park Savannah for the NACAC Cross Country Championships.  The junior women and men both came away with team championships. It was a podium sweep in the junior men's 6km race as Ross Proudfoot of Sudbury, ON took gold; Connor Darlington of Whitby, ON won silver, and Paul Janikowski of Lasalle, ON won bronze. 

Fiona Benson of Dawson Creek, BC and Maria Bernard of Calgary, AB won silver-bronze respectively in the junior women's 4km race.

Both Canadian senior teams placed second in the team standings. Individually in the women's 6km race Kate Harrison of Toronto, ON took gold; in the men's 8km Cameron Levins of Black Creek, BC won silver.
