36. Amsterdam Marathon 2011 – the largest marathon in the Netherlands

Update 36th edition  Another 8 weeks and it will be time for the 36th edition of the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. We can already say that a few records will be broken. Growth in the classic distance, the marathon, is remarkably big.

Last year, for the first time in history, more than 10,000 individual marathon runners had entered. The current expectation is that we can count on 11,500 marathon entries.

In the meantime, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon has become the largest marathon in the Netherlands!

Another absolute record is the international interest in the event.

There are 80 different nationalities, with a record number of over 13,000 international participants for all distances.
