10 Mile Dam to Dam Run sold out – Charity Project offers last chance for participation –
A record number of 40,000 participants will start on Sunday 18 September at the 27th edition of the Dam to Dam Run. Even with the 5.000 additional places, organizer Le Champion sold Saturday morning at the start of the registration period all available bib numbers for the 10 mile (16.1 km).
This year the registration, which began the 2nd of April at 9.00 am, was delayed because many more people simultaneously were online than calculated.
For runners who were not able to get a bib number for the 10 mile, the Dam to Dam Charity Project provides a solution. They can subscribe themselves for one of the charity teams, who are listed at www.damloop.nl. Last year the Charity Project collected half a million Euro for the charity goals.
It is still possible to register for the 4 mile (6.4 km) in Zaandam, the Run2Day Ladies Damloop (4 mile) in Amsterdam and the Mini Dam to Dam Runs.
