Hurdles sprinter Dayron Robles (Cuba), shot putter Tomasz Majewski (Poland), sprinter Chandra Sturrup (Bahamas), middle distance runner Yuri Borzakovsky (Russia) and long jumper Dwight Phillips (USA), who will compete in the 60m sprint in Duesseldorf.
It might be the best "PSD Bank Meeting" of all times. No less than five Olympic champions have confirmed their participation at the international indoor athletics event that will be carried out at Duesseldorf Arena-Sportpark on February 3, 2010 (start at 18:00 hrs):
Additionally, 32-year old Phillips will arrive at the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia as the current 2009 World long jump champion. And Cuba's Yargelis Savigne – she already celebrated three victories in the triple jump in Duesseldorf – also earned a World Championship gold medal in Berlin.
Further World and European champions such as, for instance, US hurdles sprinter Lolo Jones, sprinter Angela Williams (USA), Germany's pole vaulter Danny Ecker and shot putter Ralf Bartels round off the list of international top entries, all signed-on by Meeting Director Marc Osenberg.
Further entries at short notice: US sprinter Carmelita Jeter, 2007 and 2009 World bronze medallist in the 100m. A total of 140 athletes from 31 nations will compete in Duesseldorf. "The ideal conditions here provide the basis that more and more international top athletes decide to compete in Duesseldorf. By now the meeting has earned itself quite a reputation", explained Osenberg.
"This is the strongest field of entries ever at a PSD Bank Meeting", enthuses Christina Begale, General Manager of sportAgentur Duesseldorf, who have initiated the indoor meeting as a self-organised event and, together with their partners, have shaped it into a world-class athletics event. And Heide Ecker-Rosendahl, Germany's 1972 double Olympic champion (long jump and 4x100m relay) and President of the Committee "Sportland NRW" (Sportland North Rhine-Westphalia) is thrilled as well: "I'm happy that the international elite of athletes will again compete at the PSD Bank Meeting in Duesseldorf. This top class field of entries emphasizes once again the great importance of this meet in Germany. This is why a high standard of exciting competitions will be ensured."
The competitions at the "5th PSD Bank Meeting" comprises a total of twelve disciplines. In 2010 the indoor meeting boasts again the coveted "EAA status" of the European Athletics Federation, EAA, and since 2007 it ranks among the ten-best indoor meetings world-wide. The men's events comprise the 60m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 60m hurdles, pole vault as well as shot put, the women's events comprise the 60m, 800m, 1500m, 60m hurdles and triple jump.
In 2010 again, the pan-European sports TV station Eurosport will broadcast primetime two hours live from the competitions – from 19:00 until 21:00 hrs – from the competitions in Duesseldorf. Transmissions will be available to millions of TV spectators.

Children and young adults under the age of 18 pay ten euros, adults 16 euros. The ticket price includes arrival and departure via the public transport system, ÖPNV. Since the first edition of the indoor meet in 2006, the competition site at Arena Sportpark has been regularly sold-out to crowd-capacity of 2,000 spectators.
